It has been a long time since I have posted to this blog, but the time has come now that I'm basically retired from regular journalism work to begin the process of posting, and hopefully selling prints of a few of my more iconic images.
The image to the left was taken along the Columbia River this fall. It has been seen on Facebook and liked by a number of Facebook friends. It will be available soon for purchase.

Chelan Goats finish season with a win against Riverside
Chelan Goat seniors worked hard at being leaders for the young team that had many young players on board. From left to right are Bryce Robison, Rylan Anderson, Zach Phelps, Tyler Worthen and Collin Hendricks pictured with their parents on Senior night.

Chelan won its final game of the season 14-7 against Riverside in a cross-over game. The game had Chelan producing 317-yards of total offense with 171-yards of pass/receive and 146-yards of rushing. “It was a great way to finish the season,” said Coach Travis Domser. “I’m proud of the seniors efforts and their ability to lead our younger group.”
Chelan’s first touchdown came in the first quarter with Quarterback Zach Phelps hitting Collin Hendricks for 33-yards.
It wasn’t until the third quarter that Chelan was able to put another touchdown in the books when the team marched down to the 1-yard line and Erik Acala ran it in giving the Goats a 14-0 lead.
Riverside finally scored in the fourth quarter with only 1:31 remaining to play on a 15-yard run into the end zone.
The win ended Chelan’s football season on a high note. With only five seniors graduating this year, the team looks forward to reloading next year seven juniors stepping up to a leadership role and 17 sophomores becoming juniors.
Coach Domser said he will only feel good about next year depending on the work the players put in other sports programs, the classroom, weight room and throughout the summer. “Losing three seniors that broke school records in passing will be hard to replace,” Domser said.
Next year, Domser hs eight returning players on defense and seven returning players on offense. “There will be a lot of competition for all spots on the team and that has already started.”
Chelan should be very proud of this year’s team despite the losing season. The team never lost sight of their goal of playing hard, and win or lose, the Goats never got discouraged.
Broken school records this year:Quarterback Zach Phelps unofficially broke the school record in passing with 2,243 yards.
Wide Receiver Collin Hendricks unofficially set the single season passing yardage with 885 yards of receiving.
Wide Receiver Bryce Robison broke the school record as well with 778 yards receiving.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine
In the next several months, Wine Enthusiast Magazine will be publishing an article on Lake Chelan wineries. They contacted me for images and chose one to feature from Lake Chelan. Can't divulge that image yet, but it will be nice to be published in a magazine with 880,000 readers.
